RIVERSIDE FARM – Formerly known as Asylum Farm, Mental Hospital Farm and Clifton Hospital Farm.
In 1884, Rawcliffe Farm was a working farm for the patients of the North and East Ridings Lunatic Asylum and is the perfect location for a ghost hunt. Staff have reported spirit activity on the upper floor of the building, the cellar and children’s play area – they have witnessed apparitions; poltergeist activity has been reported which has frightened staff members and now some do not like to be alone in parts of the building.
Now a public house, Riverside Farm retains the original outbuildings and main part of the building. Join Paranormal Research York as we investigate parts of this former asylum farm to find out what is troubling the spirits that continue to make their presence known and and see for yourself how haunted this building really is.
